Accept card payments over the phone or by mail order — no card reader needed
The Virtual Terminal is a software payment form where you enter the customer's card details on their behalf. It is used for MOTO (Mail Order / Telephone Order) payments — the customer provides their card number over the phone or in writing, and you process the payment through the TWPayz system.
Permission required: Virtual Terminal / MOTO requires a specific permission enabled on your account by TWPayz. If this option is not visible in your backoffice or app, contact your Account Manager.
When to Use Virtual Terminal / MOTO

PCI DSS compliance for MOTO — read carefully:
- Never write down a customer's card number. Process the payment immediately while they are on the phone.
- If you must note anything during the call, destroy the note immediately after processing — shred or rip up physical paper.
- Never type card numbers into email, SMS, messaging apps, or spreadsheets.
- Do not store card numbers in any system after the transaction is processed.
